Supporting Local Causes
The Silsoe Stride is organised entirely by volunteers, and all proceeds from the event go to support local charities and good causes in and around the village of Silsoe. In previous years over £25,000 has been shared between groups within the village.
2026 Beneficiaries
This year the planning, organising and running of the Stride is being shared by Silsoe Pre-School, Silsoe Lower Football Club, Silsoe Cubs and Scouts and Silsoe Millennium Green Trust.
Previous Beneficiaries
Past beneficiaries have included Silsoe Lower School, Silsoe Pre-School, local Scout and Guide groups, and various village amenity projects. Each year the organising committee selects the beneficiaries based on applications from local groups and organisations.
