A multi-terrain 10K race through the beautiful grounds of Wrest Park and the surrounding countryside. Includes a few hills. NOT suitable for walkers.
Adult 5k

A scenic 5K race suitable for runners of all abilities, taking in the grounds of Wrest Park. Walkers and Nordic walkers are welcome.
Children's Races

Fun races for children varying from 100m to 1,000m. Children are allocated to races based on age and school year group. All finishers receive a medal.

Both routes start and finish at Wrest Park in Silsoe, winding through the estate grounds, past Burton Farm and into the surrounding countryside.
Our Story
About the Event
The Silsoe Stride is set within the magnificent grounds of Wrest Park and neighbouring farmland. This provides for a very scenic 5K and 10K race, ideal for runners of all abilities including those new to running, with a gently undulating route where you can Run, Jog or, on the 5K, Walk.
Our fun, friendly atmosphere ensures everyone has a great time, with a popular Children's Fun Run on the day.
The Stride is organised by volunteers and groups from the village and all profits are shared to beneficiaries within the village. In previous years over £28,000 has been shared between groups within the village.
This year the planning, organising and running of the Stride is being shared by Silsoe Pre-School, Silsoe Lower Football Club, Silsoe Cubs and Scouts and Silsoe Millennium Green Trust.
